Modern Warfare 3 Dev asks fans to boost Metacritic Score

Glen Schofield, developer on Activision’s Modern Warfare 3, had taken to Twitter asking for fans of the game to help boost the surprisingly low Metacritic score (link). Right now, it is sitting with a low 3 out of 10 on the user score, though the critic reviews are up at 89 out of 100. He has since deleted his post on Twitter, but you can see him responding to a backlash of people bashing his actions. If you have spent any time online, you already know the Call of Duty series has a large ‘hater’ base that seem to make tarnishing the games reputation a passion. We are speculating the low score is a result of these people, but again… only speculation.

Here is the now deleted Tweet from @GlenSchofield:

“I don’t usually do this but, if u like MW3 go 2 Metacritic.com & help our user score… It’s suspiciously low. Be honest but help if u agree.”
